The final post...

It is with great sadness that we blog for the final time in 2010 on the road home to Wagga. I will transcribe the song that Mr Wong and myself wrote for the year 9's. It may give you more insight into the trip than you ever expected. I echo my thanks to all of our followers. You have walked with us on the journey of technology and I can only declare it a success. Until next year...

Pufferfish (To the tune of Jitterbug "Wake me up, before you go go")

Pufferfish x 4

We got the bus bus onto the road
everyone was packed and the junkfood flowed
pufferfish lay on the beach
Travis had littered and was on the front seat
The spirit was late, we posted on our blog
Travis and Abbey wanted to snog
everyone sleepy, in their beds
In the morning, Mr G came round and said

Wake them up, it's time to go go
we're going to Cadbury where there's lots of cocoa
Mr Wong is throwing snow snow
Carlee and Maddy watched the movie and cried
Wake them up, it's time to go go
Nicole and Monique are dancing up a show show
Daniel ..... Has a pussy toe toe
take your medicine tonight
Carlee and Maddy cried

We walked around in the rain
Kayla got soaked and the boat was insane
we've had a few spews on the bus
Brayden and Zac were prank calling us
Monique and Abbey are kicking God
Justin's looking in the mirror at his bod
Jess and Kayla are always together
Put on your jacket, we're going to get a lot of wet weather

the wilderness must be explored

Some quotes.
Is that snow....no its sand
Is it snowing...no thats sleet
Yay its snowing.
Today we travelled from Zeehan to Hobart.
Things we saw on the way: Waterfalls x2 Windy roads (lots) did anyone spew? No Snow...yiew As we drove around the windy roads we began to see some snow here and there. Our lovely eric provided for us again by finding a great spot for a wonderful snow fight. After some great shots the students were back on the bus and off to Lake st clair. Another opportunity to take in some great views and another snow fight. Dinner was wonderful and hoping to sleep 2nite and eat chocolate another day.

Cradle mt and Zeehan

Driving around the national park at Cradle mountain offered some wonderful views and some wildlife. Things we saw alive included a wobat, tasmanians and the local collingwood supporter.

you'll have to ask you favourite year 9 student whoes house this is.
all i can say is its a hut and a German explore use to live in it.

you may have expected a photo of cradle mountain but the clouds meant we could leave with no evidence of seeing cradle mountain except in the gift shop. if i find a photo from another student ill have to put it up.

1st official day in tassie and went to cradle mountain. Students were given the opportunity to say something to their parents and only 2 came to say something. Hi mum, hi aunty Carmel, miss you lots.

great quote for the day "heaven is where God is"

Hi mum, miss u lots!

On board the spirit at 10pm (bit later than expected) meant the night lights of Melbourne put on some show. With a bit of time before bed to explore the boat some students were very excited to be on board. The weather across the waters put quite a few students to sleep. Spew count 0 thanks to God 1

Our bus driver Mr E was giving the young men of the school a lesson in chivalry. Mrs P was provided with some needed shelter whilst handing out some well needed drugs in the car park.

We arrived in Devonport making great time over night with calm seas. This meant we could keep to our well thought-out schedule by the man up the front. For some students breakfast at Maccas was a new experience and for others it meant that they could rest easy knowing that they could have some consistence in their life.

Back on the bus and off to Sheffield where a little town delivered some interesting murals, shopping, ice-cream and morning tea.

Msgs from students. Big Fulmer don’t buy a wallet for Pauline. Hi. I didn’t get sick on the boat, yay, ps Carlee didn’t get sick either. Yew! Tell George I can’t play footy. I think I left some underwear at home can u transfer some money into my account so I can get some. Can u call me on my mobile (wink) 2nite. Mum can you tape saddle club today 2pm tape is in there pls.
We have some gold star awards for the biggest pen, some clouds (lollies) river that looks like coke.

Jks a/b the bonds. Luv u lots xoxo

spirit of tasmania

Welcome to Melbourne. The view from the bus showed us the best of Melbourne and the spirit of Tasmania in the background.
Our lovely tour guide gave us a run down of the features of the boat. They include Tennis court, swimming pool, gym, day spa and many more items for year 9 students to relax and unwind. Some passangers waiting for a boat. After a big day on the bus and listening to non-stop Monique and great comedy from Abbey. Dinner was subway on the beach with some great views. Renee provided some great supper that put everyone in a good mood.

Unfortunatly some students were hanging on to the edge of the wharf and may return earlier than expected. A quote from the day...."have you ever tried not talking" (boy talking to girl).
Lots of Love from yr 9....about to get on the boat, the weather seems to be alright.

are we there yet?

Early morning start for the year 9's showed some true colours. Maybe they were "tired" of Wagga and wanting to wake up in tassie.

Our 1st stop took us to the hesteric town of Chiltern, where we could stretch our legs and reach the sky.

Lunch in the sun by the side of the road. The sugar levels never seem to diminish but lunch added some other food groups that are recomended.
