Highlights of the day:
- Seeing our good old mate Cadbury and stocking up on chocolate
- Visiting Barrington Lodge aged care facility
- Witnessing the kindness and love shown by students
- Wonderful conversations between young and old
- Catching a nap where one could
- Seeing taxidermy Antarctic animals at the museum
- Relaxing by the beach in the arvo
- Having a beautiful sunny day
- Mrs Meyer buying cough medicine for our few night coughers (God bless her)
A poem to finish off
The wheels on the bus are turning
Our stomachs are a yearning
For the chocolate that is so yummy
We can't wait to fill our tummy
We visit the sweet oldies
and have moments that are worth goldies
We leave them with a small gift
And feel our hearts lift
We see animals big and small
Stuffed and standing tall
As we went inside
Our eyes open wide
As God's creation
Makes us feel elation!

ReplyDeleteHello again everyone! Looks like you have had another amazing day in Tasmania. It is very strange not seeing you in the playground or having some of you knocking on the door asking to use the classroom!
ReplyDeleteKeep making the most of every opportunity you get!
Mrs Johnson, our staffroom is so quiet! All I could hear this afternoon was the hum of my computer... Are you jealous :) 8W would want me to tell you and Mrs Meyer that they are working hard and behaving well. They are looking forward to hearing lots of stories.
Hi guys, the photos look great again, hope you all had a great time at the chocolate factory and remembered your loved ones at home... Hint Hint Megan. Hope you all get a early night tonight as you all look like you need a good nights sleep. All well here Kirsten and Billy are missing you and the house is very quiet without you. Sleep well and have a great day tomorrow. Miss you heaps. Love you
ReplyDeleteHi Hayley & all,
ReplyDeleteGreat to see you're getting some sunshine. Those photos at the retirement village look wonderful, what great ambassadors you all were. I'm very intrigued by the rare Hayley-Erin-Joy species of penguins in Tasmania :-) So did your Cadbury total spend surpass last years?! Please put me out of my misery and let me know if they still sell the big boxes of seconds chocolate?
I think I'll have to admit your Tassie day was slightly more exciting than ours in Wagga today. Those rare penguins have just pipped our school/work on the excitement scale.
Take care - we prayed again for you all at bible study tonight and thanked God for all he's teaching you from his creation and from those great teachers and devotions you're sharing. Love the Morris' xxx
