Catching up and Flying high

With technology issues plaguing the first few posts, we missed sharing our lunch stop-over at Sheffield on Wednesday after our visit to Cradle Mountain. A great view of Mt. Roland. Wraps, chips and exploring the shops. The murals which have made the town famous were interesting/colourful/diverse/clever and to be found on many a wall or window.
Handball is the pop-up game of choice on any concrete or paved surface

The skate park at Sheffield. No skateboards but lots of running.

Assisting the injured back to the bus! Maybe Anna just wanted some more attention...

Learning to look after each other - shoes outside the bedroom please - phew! Next step - learning to keep them paired in a neat row.

Ziplining at Hollybanks. Today was a fantastic adventure through the treetops at Hollybanks near Launceston. From a few metres long/above ground to 400m long and 50m above a river - this was so much fun for everyone.

More handball at Hollybanks - sorry to the daffodil plants along the side...

Another popular game  - Uno.

Who are those handsome men?! Is Mr Xeros wearing jeans?

Another great looking group on the zipline practice. Intrepid sky warriors!

Hayden letting go...

David's always ready with a smile!
We went through the course in 3 groups, completing 7 different flights over a 2 and a half hour time period. Thankfully no-one got left behind on the zipline, although at one point we thought that Indi might be. She has now earned the nickname 'The Walrus' after the name of the action she had to complete on several occasions to help her reach the end of the line! After being out in the fresh air for so long, it was a very quiet trip down to Dodges Ferry this afternoon... a perfect opportunity to watch the epic movie 'For The Term of His Natural Life' (a convict story set in Hobart and Port Arthur)

Perfect timing....arriving at Blue Lagoon Campsite to appreciate the sun setting over the bay (note to self - take a photo for tomorrows blog). This campsite is amazing! Great rooms, great views, great facilities, great food!! Within 30mins of arriving we were being tempted with an authentic asian curry! Soooo good... Mr Xeros had thirds, but hey, who's counting? After dinner we continued to enjoy our rigourous debates around topics such as What does it mean to stand up for your faith? and What does it mean to fear God? before enjoying time together in the games room before bedtime and lights out. Speaking of which....time to go and turn them out!

  2. Hey Anna & Joe. We are all missing you very much. The cats are keeping your beds warm and we have started calling them Joe and Anna. We will change their names back when you get home. Hope your ankle heals up Bubby. We are sure you are both being blessed and being a blessing. The new actors in Victoria are really annoying, and Albert has died. Just kidding. Love you heaps. Mummy, Dah, Bet, Cabby & the cool dudes.

  5. Hi Wemmy, it's your favourite family here. Havent seen you in many photos, so get around the camera. Its pretty quiet at home without your loud singing and we dont have to be careful where we step because you're not sliding around the floor backwards. We hope you're having a great time! See you Tuesday! Love from Mum, Dad, Matthew, isabelle, Bert and Pooey

  6. Miss Izzy, thanks for the phone call last night - we are all missing you (even Eleanor) but I think Tala is missing you most. She is now sleeping on Ellie’s bed along with rat dog and Ellie - very crowded. It looks like you are having an absolutely wonderful time - such a privilege to watch you grow!

  8. Hi Tim! So sorry we haven't posted anything until now but you've probably guessed it's because we are so technologically challenged! Two of our posts have ended up in the nether somewhere! We are missing you heaps and going slightly mad! Princess Malinkey has promoted herself to Queen and keeps asking us where her loyal subject,Tim, is. The dogs have dug to China searching for you (but only got as far as the neighbour's) and the lizard is planning a heist. Please come home soon or the ninjas will steal the blender again and the rhinos will start making toast! Hope you are having fun! Say "hi" to everyone we know (and those we don't),with love Mum, Dad and Milly

  9. Hi Merridy, your soccer team did well for their final game - tied 4 all. Casey wanted to know where you were. I don't know if Frankie believed me when I said you're in Tassie. Dad's preparing a sermon for tomorrow and Uncle Andrew has gone home. Clarity and Amy are playing their crazy imaginary games and Micah is lost in his room somewhere. Hope you're having a great day. Messages from all the pets: Wade - 'Purr', Hurricane - 'Grunt', Molly - 'Baa', Banjo - 'Woof' Chooks - 'Cluck cluck,' Sarah - 'Honk', Suarez - 'Bite', Max - 'Tweet' and Tiger - ' '. Did I forget anyone? I really hope your teachers read these out aloud just so they have to make the animal noises. By the way, I had to take Max out of the lounge room during Dad's Bible Study last night because he tried to drown out their prayer time. Love you, Mum, Dad, Micah, Clarity and Amelia.
