Hello Poatina

An amazingly jam packed 24 hours in Poatina has just ended with some very worn out and satisfied young people sleeping in their beds. Isaac woke his cabin up at 5:45am this morning just so he could mimic his favourite female boat receptionist with a wake-up call for the boys. Needless to say they weren't that happy about it.

 Some of the students got up early to attend a bible study to answer the question: "Why did God make us with free will". We looked at Romans 11 and that primarily God does things for his glory.

 A tour around the village, checking out the great views was had, finishing with the community morning tea where Anna, Annabelle and Ratidzo shared their testimonies.

After a sausage sizzle for lunch, everyone pitched in for the community working bee. The students were amazing and worked so hard cleaning, scrubbing, lifting, chopping, and babysitting. 

Free time was spent shopping at the General store, bush walking, skating, and playing cards.

Tommorrow we leave Poatina to go zip lining and down past Hobart to Blue Lagoon. The students shared in devotions about the impact of the love in the Poatina community shown to all and the way that everyone serves, gives and contributes. We also watched Susan's story and discussed what it means to truly follow Jesus (see below).
