We're there.... and here

Great times... exploring all that the boat had to offer in the way of entertainment. What to choose....a movie, games, enjoying the night lights of the city as we were leaving it behind or just hanging out with friends. But by the time we left the relative shelter of the bay and into the open water, everyone agreed that the best choice was lying down horizontal with eyes closed....even the teachers! Just need to survive the narrow hallways leading to the cabins....

What a glorious day to start exploring Tassie

The serenading continues....

Look out! The boys have arrived

Yout taking the opportunity to practise his Indonesian skills from Year 7

We have seen some amazing scenery along the way.....
So in our exploring today we got to see Cradle Mountain...the whole of it and not just the base of it! Today happened to be one of the very few days each year that you can see a snow-covered peak. We felt very blessed, although apparently the kids didn't fully appreciate that fact, as they seemed more interested in throwing snow at each other! So much fun....even more when you decide to throw it at the teachers... until they throw it back!

Mr Gilmour made a little snowman for his kids, but decided against bringing it home, opting instead to video it for them.

A short life....

Part of Weindorfers Hut
Our time at the Cradle Mt National Park included learning about how it became a National Park through the vision of an Austrian name Gustav Weindorfer. Wandering around and through this heritage area was fascinating and so photogenic (we are all missing you Mrs Martinez!!)

  5. Hey jack, it's Jarryd. Hope you're enjoying your time back in Tassie. I'm not sure about you but when I went back with the Christian College it was a blast from the past.

Oh words of wisdom to other students make most of your time with friendships, I can guarantee you will learn somethings about one another. They will create memories you will hold forever.

Also make the most of you're time in Richmond. The lollieshop is amazing.

  12. Hey boys, looks like tassies treating you pretty good. I'm glad Youts using his Indonesian skills. But I think you gotta brush up on your origin teams, following the wrong team there. I'm glad Bradley boys still going well. His identical twin lamb's still covered in food every time I see him. Come on and up your game Lawson, don't think I've seen you in any photos? Joe and tim, I'll tell china you boys are missing him? Have a good one, careful of the two headed guys

  15. We're all missing you, Merridy. We're having cheesecake without you and I doubt there's be any left by Tuesday, sorry. Dad only looks a little bit older and has had a good birthday. He might be getting a bit forgetful in his old age, though - he accidentally shut Wade out your window last night until we wondered why he hadn't come in for tea. Clarity and I cleaned out Tiger and Suarez's cage today and gave them some sunshine - nice to finally have some warmer days. Hope you're warm and too busy to think about us. Love, Mum, Dad, Micah, Clarity and Amelia.
